The IC-40S has 20 extra private receive channels, dose anyone who ownes a Icom handheld know if you can programme the channels yourself or dose the Dealer have to do it for you. Thanks Mike.

The extra channels are available only to the person who has a licence to use them, well thats the law, the program to activate the channels can run on a pc and most dealers will have a copy but I would be disapointed if the dealer was to hand out copies, as a licence cost $600.
