Leroy are we talking back or front? I cant remember off hand, but does your patrol have fully floating rear axles? If not then the bearings are on the axle and there is nothing in your 'hubs'. I have never had the seals on the rear of any of my 4bys ingress with water, then again, never had the front either. Done plenty of river crossings and boats out at ramps etc.
I do service my own trucks and do the wheel bearings but I still dont see what you did as a huge potential problem. In saying that, how old are the seals, when were your bearings last repacked etc, old seals will leak eventually.
If it hasnt been awhile (last two years) then I guess this is as good time as any to get them repacked and ease your mind, better safe than sorry!
