Custom steelies - where to get them at reasonable cost?

Hi all :)

It's time I started to look further afield for someone - reliable and not exhorbitantly expensive - to make up a set of eight wheels (five for the car and three for the trailer) of the following dimensions:

16x7.0" Wheels: Backspacing = 6.0" Offset = 50.8mm Bolt pattern = 5x5 (5x127mm)

Does anyone have a suggestion on who could make these up? The 5x127 pattern is the hard part.......

I'm in Sydney.

Cheers and TIA for any advice :)

Thanks Baz.... :)

Only problem is that these are different to the Disco rims - 5x127mm stud pattern is slightly smaller than the Disco's ones.

I'll give them a call though!

Cheers

No i didn't mean get Disco rims i ment ask them to get rims to suit your jeep, also i think Ford rims are the same as some jeep models (ie) our Explorer had the same rims as the 5 stud jeep.

The Grand Cherokee is actually different to the Wrangler and Cherokee. Even though they're all 5-stud, the pattern is dissimilar. That's the problem. It's out all on its own and you can't buy standard rims. I really have to get them drilled and offset to order.

Last thing I want is to have to buy original alloys for the Cape trip. Strong as they are, they're also about $850 each........ :(

Thanks for that Baz

I gave Morton & May a call just now and unfortunately they can't provide wheels with the correct 50.8mm offset - aparrently it just isn't doable for some reason :(

If you are really desperate and can't get them off the shelf, some custom off road wheel manufacturers will weld in centres to a rim width of your choice, to the offset you require. Just had some special 7x15 rims made for another car with an offset to clear the guards. Last desperate measure though. Not sure who does it in Sydney.
