What are are the other measurements of the 235? Are they 235/75 15?

The 235/75 15 has theoretical dimensions of
Diameter- 733.5mm
Circumference- 2304.4mm

The 9.5x30x15 theoretical dimensions of
Diameter- 787.4
Circumference-2473.7

What is your current tyre size?

You don't need an 8in rim for these tyres. 7in is the go.

Hope this helps.

Utemad is a little out in his estimations:

235/75x15 = 733.29mm diameter whereas 30/9.5X15 = 761.74 diameter.

I have just done this exercise on my Terrano 2, I threw off the 235/75 x 15 Cooper STs & fitted 30/9.5 x 15 Firestone Firehawk RMTs. So far I am very happy, Coopers were about $230 each & wore at an alarming rate, Firestones were only $170 each & have a very good tread pattern, obviously yet to find out how they wear!
Interestingly, I checked the speedo against the GPS with the bigger OD tyres & guess what? It is now exact ..... what a fluke!

Best tyre calculator is here at http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp?action=submit

Sorry, but you will have to cut & paste the link.

Not many vehicles have very accurate speedos ...... ask Steve Bracks, as soon as he realised it, he commissioned thousands of speed cameras & gives drivers virtually no margin for error. ADRs (joke) state that the speed measuring device must be accurate to within 10% of the actual speed being travelled. I got done for 104 in a 100 zone. $128.00!
