hiya jim,
i can honestly tell you that the more
miles you do the better the economy will get.
we own a 3.otdi as well and have just clicked over 17,000 km's in it since the end of april.the first 5,000 we averaged about 12.5lts/100km.
as soonas we hit that mark we threw a jayco swan camper behind it and went to
monkey mia and
carnarvon for a week, (had to see how it went as a fourbie ie the ruff stuff...:) ).any way for the round trip of 2,500 kms we used roughly 200lts diesel. (there was a fair bit of low range work in there as well).
after the 10,000 service the economy picked up remarkedly and we average around 1,475km from the 120 lts we carry.
and nissan has told us it should get a bit better than that.
