G Day all
Will be heading to the Simpson Sesert from Birdsville, in First week in July, 2005,, and am looking for another vehicle or two, to join in,,,, 40 to 50 age group, would be prefered, on a " buddy up " basis ( definately no " rednecks " )

This is my first time at Desert travel, and I have a mate travelling with me.

We are definately, well equipped, and have 4*4 experience ,, but only in the mud and slush, in Sth Gippsland

All interested parties pls email me

Mate if you delay till the next weekend you'll have about 10 or 20 cars to do a crossing with as the National EO gathering is in Birdsville 9th/10th/11th of july, we will be there around the 6th or 7th.

I have to agree with Willem there.. Apart from a little soft sand on the flats outside of Dalhousie you could almost drive a standard car through the simpson... The sand dune tracks are as hard as rocks... Little corrugations and a detour past big red and you would be through...
Some days it is hard to take a wee wee on the french line without vehicles going past and seeing you...
If you broke down i am sure it would only be a matter of ½ hour for help or so...Maybe an hour at the middle time of the year...
Cape York is even a tourist haven too...
CSR surrounds and parts of NT are the only truely remote places left in this country....
