Would anyone on the forum have an opinion about tough daog suspension and dampeners vs. OME. I have a bit of a choice concerning a second hand tough dog setup for a steal but have heard good reports about Old Man Emu. Any thoughts?

There have been many reports of failures of new toughdog dampers on the 4wdmonthly forum. Given that, if it were my choice to make, I'd go OME.

IMHO
Tough dog are way over rated & many fail on corrogated roads.
OME are an average over priced shock.
Koni are long lasting.
Bilstien are high on performance.
