Hello All

Well the day has come picked up my new TD Jerry Last night .What a dream to drive Will be going out today for a long drive and i might even let the wife have a go HEHE . Have to wait a week or so before I can get the TJM suspension put in .
but apart from that I traded in the stock tyres and got a set of BF Goodrich A/T .

The tyre size are 255x70x16 fit nice and had a look under and no sign of it going to rub anyware will look better with the TJM under it .Did you get the pic i sent you ?

Load rating D on the BFG's from memory. Treat the BFG's with 'consideration' when mobile in the bush and you will be rewarded. Though pricey, I've settled on them for the Jack (5.5 yrs now) and the new Campomatic trailer and have not had a flat yet.... but I am conservative at the wheel. Enjoy the new chariot !

and I will take a photo next to the car with and without the TJM set up might even get the tape out from what they say and what jimbo has said you should get about 40-45 mm lift

Can you have a look at the tyre placard (should be located in the driver's side door jam) and please let me know what it is. My petrol Jerry is 106 T. I'd be interested what the diesel is rated. I couldn't fut the BFG's (or many others) to mine because of the S speed rating.

I also strongly recommend you measure the height of your car before the suspension goes in. I did it at the front and rear bumpers and at the wheel arches (and even took photos as proof). Gave me a comparison point after it was fitted. After it was installed I hadn't got the promised lift due to the boys who fitted it being slack. The Store Manager, Rick (a qualified mechanic) then did the job properly himself and it is great.

I've been running those same sized BFG AT's for the last 30,000km and have found them quite good.

Keep an eye on your rotations and pressures, otherwise I've found the front end quite harsh on the shoulders. Need to keep the pressures up and rotate regularly between front and back.

I've had BFG AT's on several past 4wd's (Patrol, Jeep Wrangler), and have found them a good compromise tyre.
