Have just come back from there. Our crew was towing an off-road trailer, no problems. Seen 3 caravans being towed, and on was just a regular van, he was keeping it all very slow. A few tight turns in sand, but all okay. The vegetation is okay, you can keep both mirrors out now. It seemed that the Mabel Creek - Tallaringa Well was the worst section for corrugations.

No experience with offroad caravans on the Anne Beadell Hwy, but seen plenty of camper trailers come through - often with bits falling off.

But I've done the track a few times. I'd expect the major issues will be
- that parts of it on the SA side are narrow with overgrown and overhanging trees, and the extra width of the van may see it knocked around.
- From Laverton to about 70k west of the border was graded 2 years ago - should still be OK. East of that point it can be a bit sandy, but I'd expect with low pressures, between the two of you you'll get through OK.
- The corrugations from Emu to Coober Pedy haven't got any better - I keep the tyre pressures low to save the suspension - used 17psi last time. Or you could do the run from Nullabor to Vokes Hill instead.

I read an article recently that the Aboriginal station supplying fuel on the Anne Beadell were getting a bit upset with travellers wanting large amounts of fuel instead of being self sufficient as it depleted stocks for the community. You may want to check this out .

We saw a 50 to 60 seater 4wd bus doing the track when we did it . We towed a camper trailer with a 4.5 l cruiser and had 365 liters petrol 275 in tanks We had 20 liters left at laverton The dies els had about same left but only used their 265 on board capacity.
