I was so close but so far away.

William Creek was as far as I got before the rain came and closed the roads. 3 nights at William Creek is OK but crosing the desert would have been better.

Belinda and Eliza had also joined me and the convey, but Belinda ( Waynes Wife) has yet to cross the Simpson. Eliza ( Waynes Daughter) has been there 5 times before. The convey were very disapointed but understood that when the roads are closed the roads are closed.

Just because the rain beat us this time I would hope that plans are under way to hold another National Get-Together soon or again same place same time next year.

I hope that the ones that did make it did have a good time and had fun on Big Red.
