Bullwinkle

Does anybody know if the standard coils out of a GU will fir in a GQ? I've still got the standard coils out of my GU and a mate wants to put them under his GQ.

Hi Bullwinkle
Yep the GU will fit the GQ and as the GU is heavier, it will lift the GQ a little.

G'day Bullwinkle,

As Crazie said, yes they do fit, but not only will they lift a GQ approx 1", they will also give a firmer ride, I stuck a set out of a GU diesel into my old man's GQ diesel and they are just OK, stuck a set out of a petrol GU into my GQ 3.0lt Which only weighs 2t compared to the fathers 2.25t, and they were way to harsh.
It doesn't take long, so if your mate still wants to try it, let him throw them in and see what he thinks.

Done it on my old GQ and it sits beautifully. From GU TD42T to a GQ TD42
