Hi Again All,

This is a follow on from my previous post about going gas, however is a different topic so I thought I'd start a new thread.

Has anyone had any experiance in transplanting a GMH 5.0lt V8 into a petrol FJ62?? I have the engine, loom and computer but have no idea what is involved or the sort of cost I'd be looking at or who could do the conversion for me. I am in Victoria.

As I said in the other post I drive a converted 60 series, and have done a fair few conversions, into Hiluxs, 4Runners, Cruisers and even Navaras. Be happy to show you how it all works depending on where you are in Vic, have to be later in the year as I am O/S at the moment driving a 97 Suburban thats makes you 60 look really economic.
Later.

I had a 60 Series with a Holden 308 in it and the Toyota 4 speed auto. It went OK but was not great. I think a 5.0 is just too small for a vehicle of that size. I'd be going at least a 350 Chev.

Also had a bugger of a time keeping it cool. Could only go for about 270km's before refuelling too, so I just wrote it off to experience and sold it.
