Pick up the tie down threads and mount a false floor in the back....bolt the fridge slide to this.

I had the same problem with my 80 Series GXL, and Dozer got it in one. I remved the carpet and cut a false floor in plywood, built up a frame to mount the slide on and bolted it in.

I am now trying to work out how I can have a "bolt in" fitting for the slide that will allow me to remove and replace it in the car whenever I want.

Its a little hard to explain, but imagination is the key..
Im a metal worker, so i weled up two bed plates to unistrut lengths and mounted them to the tie down holes each side, giving me a unistrut running front to back either side of the rear.
I then welded two pieces of flat steel (30mmx10mmx 1.5mm) accross the front of each unistrut opening (which are facing up) to help lock in the false floor.
Under the false floor timber, i screwed 13mm square RHS that locate in the unistrut when floor is ontop.(and sit under that welded steel when in the forward position) This allows whole floor with draws and fridge to be pulled out of the back of the car however far as practical to yourself (some shorties have problems reaching over the tailgate) and it can also be locked in when in transit. To the rear of the false floor i have used two unistrut bolt down fixtures to secure the floor when it is time to
move.
Now, the beauty of this setup is...floor can be removed leaving unistrut, which doesnt interfere with 3rd riow seats.
whole lot can be slid back to allow access when camping
opens the possibility up of hinging the fridge slide so when you pull it back, the fridge tilts back to allow easier access.. :-))))) all it would take is a hinge at the operator and a locking system at the front end when slid forward.

I have done as the others have suggested in my 100 series.

Left the carpet in, cut out a "plate" from about 8mm ply, used the 4 corner tie down points to secure this.

Have bolted my slide to the plate, also fitted other tie down points for my boxes and Thumper battery.

No need to remove carpet, plate can be removed with a little effort if not required. You have to tilt it to get it out. I cut it to go around the wheel arches, took a little bit of messing around, used 3 mm MDF to make a pattern.

Good luck
