There is one at Danoz that I was thinking about getting but for $200 I thought I could get a lot of zip-lock bags and have the butcher cryovac meat for free...maybe I am just tight :)

I have a 'Foodsaver compact II - Vac 550' purchased from Harvey Norman for around $230. I thought bags were expensive at first, $25 for 5.5m, but soon realised that 5.5m goes a long way. The bags come in all different sizes but I've found the best is the roll (tube) as you can make any size you need. Distributed by Emjoi Australasia p/l.
they wash well too.
This model also comes with attachments for vacuum sealing bottles and other containers.

Brian, Ive got the danoz foodsaver version, but i use bags from stanleys - a food wholesaler. The bags are a quarter of the price, which makes it much more viable to use
