JEEP Cherokee shake at 110 clicks

Just wondering if any Jeep/4WD owners/mechanics out there can help me out. Over the last few months I have had an issue where travelling at approx 100-110 km/hr under certain conditions (cornering to the left and hitting uneven road surface on RHS) causes my Jeep Cherokee 95 sport model to shake violently and basically scare the bejeezus out of my passengers. This shake does not stop until braking hard (back to 30-40 k's). I have taken to one front-end specialist who replaced the panard ?? rod balanced and rotated wheels on RHS but made absolutely no difference. Let me know if anyone has any advice on the matter (hopefully while I still have some hair left!)

I have had a vehicle doing the same thing and I altered the Caster angles more by trial and error to eliminate the problem. This was a company car and I was asked to trouble shoot the problem, when it was sold about 6yrs after my "wheel alignment" it had not had another alignment. The other thing to check is the steering damper if fitted. Barnray
ps Have it checked by a 4x4 alignment speciaillist.B

Just something that you might want to get checked out, the Cherokee's of your ones vintage were subject to a recall due to cracking of the chassis where the steering box attaches. The recall required a reinforcing plate to be welded to the chassis. A Jeep dealer will be able to check if this has been done, there are still several Jeeps out there that missed the recall which is still current and should not cost you anything.
