I noticed in the archive an e-mail from Rod W relating to 'the Clampton trip' Does this refer to Clampton in Western Australia. If it does could he please contact me as I need to know more about this place.

The Clampton I am talking about is west of
Perth and north of
Southern Cross
My name is Clampton. Many, many years ago two Clamptons went to America and then on to OZ. I wondered if there was a link.Beryl

Part of your location is right, north of
Southern Cross. The other one ‘west’ of
Perth…
well you’ll need a boat.
Clampton is an abandon
mine site (gold I assume) approx 200ks north of
Southern Cross, on the northern boundary of Mt Jackson Station.
I have some photos of the area to which I can burn to a CD and post to you, but you would need to give me a phone number so I could get your address.
I can’t help with how Clampton
mine got its name but the station owners maybe able. Their name is Truan and live in
Southern Cross.

Thanks very much. Funny that in the Polaris (the mining group) share report they say that they have encouraging finds and it is a good site.
I am not in Australia so I would not expect you to go to the bother of sending a CD. Why not e-mail me a couple of pictures - beryl.clampton@virgin.net.
