Stuck in Hedland

I'm after a little help. Getting ready to leave Hedland and all is set except my stacker is playing up. I loaded a bit of driving music yesterday and the disc remote only allows me to turn the sensor unit on/off and nothing else. There is 'E-0 1' displayed on the screen.
I can't remove the cartridge.
It appears to not have power to the unit. (usually makes a loading noise).
No fuses have blown in the fuse rack.
Could there be an inline fuse from the stacker?

Running out of time, getting desperate. Long drive ahead and the dog snores loudly. HELP.

Could the CD-Stacker connection plug at the back of the head unit come loose? .

I just ran out and looked at the Alpine 6CD stacker in one of the cars and yes there is defiantly a in-line fuse or connection of some type on the cable running from the stacker to the head unit.

I didn’t go pulling it apart, as it is a PITA to get to but defiantly a connection or a Fuse on the cable, about 50cm along from where the cable plugs into the back of the stacker

Gday,
In the younger days when i had a stereo stacker amps etc i had had that problem, as i also had all my stuff in alpine.
The error is a stuck disk
What u need to do is empty out all the cds from the cartridge and then put the catridge in(empty)...you should have 5 disks out of it.
Once you put in the catridge you simply need to press the eject it from the stacker, this will eject the disk into one of the slots of the cartridge.
If it keeps happening you might need to get a new cartridge as that is what i did once it was happening frequentlt and the issue never occured again

Cheers

In my manual it also states that if the cartridge wont eject to use a butter knife and slide it left to right(between the cartridge and the stacker).
This will eject the cartridge.
I have done this also in the past where it has ejected the cartridge from the stacker.

Hope this helps

P.S. My stacker was a 5952Z(alpine) stacker

I used a hammer (24oz), and a chisel (50mm) . Did the trick beautifully.
Now we can finally justify an ipod.

I get the same message every now and again, my fix (as told to me by audio tec)was to pull the power cable apart near the stacker and leave disconnected for about 10 min, the unit re-set itself. Plug it back in and away you go.
