Way off topic but does anyone know of a reputable second hand farm equipment dealer in Vic...??? Need a small tractor preferably with a front end loader and slasher.

'The Land' Paper would be a good start they list used gear for sale as well as clearing sales that are really good for a bargen.

good luck,

Blue in deference to Pat I suggest a Victorian paper like the 'Weekly Times' or you may be transporting it a long way to the closer districts to Melbourne. Try one of the dealers closer to where you want to operate Blue.

I like to play with bigger ones :-). Not had a slasher for twenty years I reckon. Loaders at 105 and 150 horsepower.

Thanks John... I'm after a little Kubota or similar, something in the order of 20hp with a front end loader and a slasher. We have a 20acre block and it's in dire need of some maintenance. Mullock(sp?) heaps need to be pushed back into their holes(very slowly with a .25m bucket) and general clearing of the fuel load around the fence line. I need something I can transport, if something goes bang I don't want to require a float to get it to a workshop and it needs to fit in a shipping container for security.

I've looked around Ballarat and Stawell(our property is between Avoca and Stawell) but there isn't much about in this size which is why I threw it open...

A 150hp loader would certainly make short work of it but I'm pretty certain it wouldn't fit in a shipper...

My list grows... Strangely enough, there isn't much on the internet. Many places advertise but almost always no prices. What's the point of having a website if I've got to call you in the end anyway...???

thanks Scrubby
