100 Series Safari Snorkel Fitment

Gday All,have just fitted a Safari
snorkel
to our Cruiser and all went well, easiest
snorkel
ive fitted BUT where the boom bottle seals to the air/box elbow the instructions say to seal with silicone. Now after sealing everything with rubber boots and clamps, this seems like a possible weak/leakage point.
Anyone who has fitted a
snorkel
to their 100 Series,do they leave this joint siliconed or maybe fit a rubber boot with clamps over it.
