Anderson Plug Mounting

Hi all,
I have a 100 Series Cruiser and I was looking at mounting an Anderson Plug on the back for the boat winch. Where do most people put them. Do they go on top or under the tow bar or do people have them on a lead tucked in the back of the car.
Any help would be great

replied: ARB fitted our anderson plug under the tow bar and to the left. It looks very vulnerable, but has survived so far, and hasn't filled with mud, yet?

Thanks for this,
Is it possible to get some pics please.
How is it mounted eg. is it screwed to the bar via drilling and tapping?

replied: Drilled a hole in the rear bumper bar to keep it out of the mud, clear of being ripped off & easy to plug in. Ideal for use as an external plug for the
camping lights
too.
Cheers Craig.....

replied: My anderson plug was fitted to the bottom of the crossmember of the towbar on the right hands side. Will be moving it out of harms way (probably on top of the cross member) as recent experiences showed there was a possibility of it getting ripped off where it is now.

replied: I sure hope everyone has the cable supplying their Anderson Plug fused at the battery end.....?
Imagine what would happen to a length of heavy, un-fused cable if it was shorted out at the far end and there was no fuse fitted at the battery..
