goodyear tyres

need a new set of tyres for patrol,i see goodyear have a new mud terraine type on the market,has anyone tried these,any comments appreciated.

we had a gu patrol in on sat with goodyear mtr muddys fitted came in for wheel balance but r/h/f and l/h/r/ tyres were already seperating as we say at work if it lasts one year its a goodyear

I fitted a set of Wrangler MTR's in Novemeber to my 80 Series. Absolutely love 'em and as Truckster says they bleep all over BFG's that I had on previously. I live in Pilbara and they have had no trouble handling hot surfaces and been getting a workout in the mud lately also. Awesome tread too !

Go into your local Goodyear dealer and have a look at the sidewall of a Wrangler MTR. I challenge you to then walk away without thinking of buying a set ASAP.

I have 15k on my MTRs now and they are definitely the best MT tyre I have used. I think the Cooper ST is a better general purpose tyre.

Rob, I would assume you travel relatively heavy, and I have noticed that the compound of the MT'R is relatively soft. How is the wear rate on them? After seeing them I must admit I would love a set, but this is the only thing that worries me about them.

The trick with MT's of any form is to keep them for 10-20,000klms and sell em, and update! Only costs you a few 100 then to keep good new tires all the time..

The second hand ones sell easy and you can get good $ for them.
