Places to stay--Halls Creek

G'day

Stayed there last year. It is okay. Quiet, still has solar hot water only so have your hot shower in the afternoon. Was for sale also (Sept 2005). YUes it is a little run down but probably quieter than town.

Town did look a lot better as a result of the alcohol controls.

LOL He He Hey Nick I been thinking about moving up that way but the Caravan Parks are so expensive even for long term ,Wyndham is $114 a week and he said Kununurra is higher and the good one that has phone options don't take dogs, but i was told here in the Mt Isa park by a bloke who stayed at the showground , thats fine but i need a place where there is a caretaker because in my job i could be away for days at a time, other than that i might have to give the idea away,

Dont even think of it !! Stay at the site in Halls Creek or travel as far as u can go ...onto the next map !!

I agree with Steve - if you like physical excitement go ahead but if you value your skin and property get behind the cyclone wire.

There is a lovely place to camp, basically in the creek at Caroline Pool.

If it is a weekday, you wont be bothered at all.

Head southeast along the road to Old Halls Creek. I can't remember the actual distance but it is a little over 10k. Turn left (north) prior to Old Halls Creek. get yourself the Hema map of the area you will see it marked.

i have also stayed in sawpit gauge, not all that far out of town , past old halls creek, and the place is beutiful, very good sun rises ect, and great safe swimming holes.

Thanks, sounds the goods. Just a question. We will be there for a couple of nights and leaving the campers to look around the area/into HC to do some work etc. Did you guys do that or where you with them at all times? Any concerns about leaving them unattended?
