Pack a good sleeping bag as it will be
cold overnight.
Camped at Davies Plain Hut for two nights Sunday & Monday and though differences of opinion were formed over breakfast regarding the accuracy of one of the measuring devices the thermometers around camp (ranging from -9 to -4 deg C) all agreed it was bluddy
cold.
Great for power consumption cos it was 1.5 deg C in the Engel so it didn't cut in at all after about 9pm or before 10am.
The tracks up there should be good at the moment though watch how much rain they get this week. Some are extremely difficult in the wet.
It's a great trip. Enjoy it before the tracks close for winter.
