Try Goodchild Enterprises, located at the industrial area near Success Shopping Centre, south of the river.
They specialise in many lines of batteries and I've had darn good service from 'em.
My prefernece is for the Optima range of AGM batteries. They are a spiral wound battery and don't have the comventional plate set up. They are an odd looking thing and don't resemble the normal "black cube" look of yer normal battery.
What is good about Optima is that they are a sealed, true deep cycle, no maintenance AGM battery with quite amazing cranking ability. They can be used as a cranking battery as well as powering fridges in deep cycle conditions. I use a 55 amp hour one (quite a small rating), but it puts out 870
Cold Cranking Amps (CCA), to fire up a 6.5 litre V8 Chevy diesel. It does it with knobs on! They are a true dual use battery.
Try a "Google"
search for Optima Batteries to get the specs.
They're not cheap but I reckon they are the duck's nuts. Expect to pay about $280.00 for the 55 amp hours and about $300.00 for the 75 amp hour. Be careful with the 75 amp hour one - it won't fit in a standard battery carrier.
