If you drive aggressively, then the bigger diam
tyres may not be what you really want....without gearing mods!
But since I've changed my 205R16 for 31x10.5/15's on my rodeo.....my fuel economy is much better!! possibly by 0.5km/l!!
You have to remember that when you change the diam of the wheel your ODO is also going to tell you some little pokies about the number of kms travelled.....mine currently tells me about 3% less klms or about 10 klms for every 100!
On the boring freeway bits from Albury to Melb, I use the mile posts to keep a tab on how (in)accurate the odo is!! The
GPS is not the perfect tool for that measurement???
ps. why not learn to drive less aggressively? You'll get there just as quckly...save for 5 mins or so :p......sounds like you have a "fuel card"!!!! :P
( you can almost always tell who has the luxury of a "fuel card".....and those that pay their own way.......except for the younger women!!! thay almost always drive at 20kmh over the posted limit!!)
