We're with Australian 4WD Insurance, underwritten by CGU, and can't fault them yet. They seemed to be the most comprehensive (full coverage anywhere, not just on formed tracks), and were about $50 more than the cheapest we could get.
As luck (or otherwise) would have it, my cruiser is in the
shop at the moment, and the other guy was with NRMA - couldn't fault them at all. They have been real helpful, and the car is just about fixed, after being approved Tuesday (accident happened Friday night). All this considering I am the "other driver", and basically wrote off his car...... (his fault, thank christ!)
Cheers,

chump,
you will find most insurance companies treat the "Not at fault "party pretty well " as they are keen to get you happy to sign off on the release. otherwise they are left with a situation where you might sue in the future.Panel damage costs peanuts compared to medical expenses etc in the future and they want sign off so they have no likelyhood of outstanding liability against a future claim.
I believe if you pay insurance you are entitled to be benefits when things go When dealing with insurance shouldnt have to be satisfied that you didnt get screwed over , you pay premiums you are entiltled to benefits payable under the policy.
cheers
