Outback Clean-up cancelled

Submitted: Saturday, Jun 03, 2006 at 20:26

AdrianLR (VIC)

A while back there was a thread on peoples thoughts about the Outback Clean-up. I just read in this month's 4X4 that the project was cancelled as only four registrations were received. A good cause but perhaps the method wasn't quite right. We'll continue to take our (and often other peoples) rubbish home with us.

adrian,
not sure of your post but this site handled the registrations, and due to lack of interest in the event it was cancelled. this was notified on the site some time ago. but i'm with you and i will continue to take more home than is mine.

evening gents
peter i dont know if it was totallack of interest or the b/s of the entry conditions that put people off
i had a look at 1 stage and soon backed off when i started reading all the conditions on top of entry fees (that wasnt a problem)

Me too- Had planned to do the variety 4WD bash or something similar this year and spotted the clean up. After seeing the amount of crap you had to go through and costs involved just to enrol I stopped reading and lost all interest.
