12 volt wiring

Ron Holland

Thanks to all who replied with advice -must almost be a record for responses - direct is obviously the way to go with an inline fuse.
This seems to apply to any make of fridge/freezer if one errs on the side of caution. Your replies simply re-inforce my amazement at
why it is not mandatory by law for all factory fitted wiring to the accessory plugs to be at least capable of handling the likely accessories
that are regularly used in all makes of 4WD - after all the cost of the wire is so miniscule when compared to the overall cost of most vehicles
and the implications of misuse are horrendous.

Thanks again and regards to all - enjoy your travels RON

Ron, the old saying goes: BUILT DOWN TO A PRICE, NOT UP TO A STANDARD. Cheers, Dion.
