Batteries are not user serviceable as the unit is factory sealed to
prevent dirt or moisture from contaminating the electronics. Other
products on the market have user servicable batteries and also have a
very high rate of failure due to the extream vibration and rotational
forces exerted on the sensors. With the Doran PressurePro the monitor
will warn of low
battery power and the units are replaced much like a
core exchange on other automotive products. Simply send the sensors back
to us and the factory will harvest usuable parts (like a core exchange)
and you receive new sensors with new batteries and any electronic
updates made to the sensors in the time you owned it cost is about $25
per sensor as opposed to $50 for completely new sensor if stolen or
accident damaged.
I asked again about off road use, water and gravel ..
will see what they say ...
well 25$US x10 every 3-4 years lets say 20months is around A$18 a month
for sensors ... hmmm ... well I will see if this is worth it ..
