Gnaraloo and Red Bluff

Hi All,

We will be up around these spots in Sep/Oct towing a Jayco Finch Outback campertrailer with 2 kids (2 and 6) with a GQ LPG/Petrol Patrol.

Has anyone been there recently that can give us an idea of the facilities at these places and are they relatively kid friendly (we don't want to lose a kid over a cliff and don't want them bored out their minds because there is no beach to play on)?

We plan to base ourselves out of Carnarvon and do day trips to these spots. Is this doable?

Alternativiely, if we decide to stay a few nights do we need to book?

Cheers

there are a few places up there to go to camp. Gnaraloo is good, but there isnt really a beach at the camp site. Lovely bay is a few k's to the north but you can only camp at the campsite. Before you get to Gnaraloo there is Blowholes and Red Bluff. When you head further up to near Coral Bay you can backtrack a bit to Warroora Stn. Havent been there for a while but you could camp anywhere along the coast of Warroora. It is the adjoining Stn to Gnaraloo but you cant drive through the gate between them. Mostly beaches, some fringing reef and some exposed coast. Easy to find a great spot there. Further up past Coral Bay there is Ningaloo stn, camp anywhere, and if Yardie Creek is open you can drive up the coast to Exmouth.
With any of these places it is best to ring beforehand though, even if only for up to date info.

They'll give you all the info you need on the area.

If you need any info on Carnarvon, let me know.
