Has anyone had any experience with the new type of injection system invented in Geelong Vic. under the business name of Green Diesel?
Their claim is 30% more power.
up to 30% more torque ,
and uses up to 30% less fuel.?
Apparently they've spent a great deal of money developing this sytem, but requires about $4000 to set up your engine. Sounds a lot of money to this ol' fella..

Two Question Kev,

1. Is this your first post on EO?
2. Are you connected to this mob?

Hello Eddy, Answer to your 1st question is yes..my 1st post and no connection whatsoever to this "mob".
They were at the Speed field days yesterday and was the first time I've heard of them.

there was a diesel injection thing that won the innovic award and I called the guy. he said he had got money from the US congress and the aussie gov would not cough up therefore the system will be made available to the US but not here. this was in 2003. i think this one does work but the proof is in the pudding. also remember when this thing was invented it was before the common rail diesel revolution that BMW helped start. they are now up to common rail 4 with piezoelectric valves.

G'Day Mate,
If anyone has any question relating to our greendiesel technology Ron (CEO) will be more than happy to answer them.
Ron's email can be found on www.greendieselcorp.com at the last page.

Thanks.

G'day Nick,

Can I assume that you are directly associated with this company? (if so, you should probably have indicated as much in your response).

Now I'm a sceptical old fart, but have been known to try various "snake-oil" gizmos from time to time. (eg: the "Felch" fuel catalyst.....mis-spelt on purpose so as not to provide a link to anyone searching that little waste of space gold coke can)....

However, after perusing the website link which you so kindly provided, I am left with faaarrrrrrr more questions than answers. The website was long on rhetoric and short on detail. Hell, by the end of it I'm still none the wiser about whether there is some magic bit of gear I can bolt-up to my (computer-less) old banger 4.2TD Patrol, or is it only for those machines "blessed" with a black box?

Cheers mate

Roachie

come on Roachie - give him a break - he is nick@GD (presumably God's Dungeon?)

and he signed off "Nick. GDC" - God's Dungeon Controller.

So, you shouldn't assume is the devil incarnate - after all he told you to your face.

One would have to ask, how did Nick know to come here and respond to the "question"?

Hi Nick,

What's with the reference to Orbital test data? Was this testing done on your behalf by Orbital?

All I can see is an INVITATION to buy shares on the last page. As for the company itself, it has NO PRODUCT actually on sale.

THIS REAKS OF A SHARE SCAM.

Hi Gary,

Could well be. I was hoping for a response from Nick but he's gone quiet.

Reviewed with guys at work today (I'm the engineering manager at Orbital) and no one can recollect doing any work for these guys. The test plots shown seem to be meaningless collection of printouts. The testing done at Melbourne Uni was well over 10 years ago and the gentleman mentioned (Prof Milkins) has since passed on. We'll be talking to Prof Harry Watson to see if this all meets with their approval.

I got a print out of the patent today and reviewing it later tonight. The technology is certainly not going to be an aftermarket add-on and as F4Phantom commented, technology has moved on to Piezo CR DI. I couldn't see going too far now.

Regards, Hugh

Gday Hugh, mate seeing as you are at orbital, do you know if there are any plans to release another small car converted over to an orbital powerplant, like the old orbital festivas ??

Keep up the good work,

cheers Brad

Hi Bradley,

No plans - missed the boat back in '94 for the auto two-stroke (Festiva fleet). Have been very active on DI four-stroke and almost went into production with SAAB until GM cancelled the project as part of their global cost reduction.

Doing a heap of non-auto applications still and activity in Perth has transformed into an Engineering Services business, servicing the powertrain market (all sectors).

Regards,
Hugh
