I was thinkin more on having hooks on the sides of the ply wood, and just hook it on like pegs, but not if you know what I mean.....

yea if you like...... spelling makes no diff, if people know what you are on about.

Peter,

Been there....done that.

Sheet of 6mm ply on roof rack. Couple of, or double swag. Rolled up tarp at your feet in case it rains. Ockey straps to hold the tarp down in case of wind or rain.
Going for the midnight leak is a problem for boys. Empty bottle of V8 Juice does the trick !!

Sorry, I don't really have any. They look good though. The only issue for me and the better half is the ladder side of it when you have to take a leak in the middle of the night especially after a few sherbets...ouch!!
I don't blame you for asking since the factory ones costs thousands.
Happy hunting

if you already have a decent sized roofrack with a ladder or an addition of a small light weight ladder welded/bolted and then reinforce the corners and maybe the sides underneath the afore mentioned ply (weatherproofed i hope) for guyrope/peg holes with an appropriate keyhole or metal loop and a quick setup dome or centre pole pyramid.
just a thought might come in handy in croc country (just kidding on crocs).
i prefer to be closer to terra fima especially after a few sherbets and a windy night on an unstable soft supension (woooh look out below).

save your money i agree.
cheers
