Have been in there and can say that it is a great spot for camper trailers but am not sure it would be suitable for caravans unless it is small or an off-road type. The access road was a bit tight in a couple of spots in the actual gorge.

It is located (from memory) just a bit west of Quorn.

Just looked it up in the Camps Australia book and it is located 21km North and slightly west of Quorn via Arden Vale Rd.

It is free camping but does say it is accessed via dirt road. Has Toilets and allows dogs.

From memory the sites were not all that level and the area is not real big either - but very nice spot.

But..... bit grotty and the ants are the most vicious I have ever encountered anywhre in Oz.

I remember vividly dancing wildly while trying to have a bush shower (not a pretty sight)

Give it a miss there are better places

We camped there during summer with no one in site :-) Hot and dry at the time (sounds normal). Looks like it would be very busy on the holidays during the cooler times of year. I wouldn't personally think was the best place in the Flinders.....my choice would be either Parachilna Gorge or some campsites along bunyeroo creek (caravan access could be difficult though).

WE think Warren is a great fiest nights stop when heading north into the Flinders area. You cam stock up in Quorn, have a quandong pie at the cafe of same name and have afree camp with water in the creek - hopefully. We've camped there a few times with the Ultimate and it's great if you head down by the creek. There are flat spots there - just hunt around. It's a large area with rock wallabys and roos. Don't recommend the loos though.

Our favourite Flinders spot though is the Aroona valley - Koolamon camsite - 4wd area.

20km north of Quorn. Well signposted. It's well worth a look, as is every spot in the flinders, but it's not the best spot. Buckaringa gorge further North about another 20km is excellent for yellow footed rock wallabies.

For caravan access the Flinders NP would be best. Aroona valley is a personal favourite. Or parachilna gorge has free campsites along the creek beds (not too close though). Get yourself a book or search on the internet for more detailed info on flinders.

Warren Gorge is beautiful for my purposes - i take my regular Flinders Ranges Photography Tour in there for the first night.

Caravans should be no drama - the dirt road in is well maintained and not very far - less than Aroona Valley I would say.

The Gorge has a creek that runs through it a lot of the year with lots of frogs, birds and numerous Yellow-footed rock wallabies.

The walk/climb up the gorge at sunrise, if you travel quietly, will reward with lots of close encounters with the wallabies, especially if you climb over the pretty unique rock formation that the gorge runs through.

Up behind the gorge is quite a large camping area with plenty of areas for a caravan in my view although I have never had one in there.

Argadells station, a little further down the road has some good 4WD tracks, one of which comes into the back of Warren Gorge from Mount Arden, and a couple of gorges to look at too.

Further down the track the Willochra Plain really has a lot of interesting history and is quite picturesque too.
