Rear View Systems

I have been considering buying one of those rear view monitor/camera systems from DSE/ Swann. I have looked around and although they are only monocrome I believe that they are the best. The problem that I have is where to mount the monitor???? I have an 80 ser L/c Any suggestions?????

Ray, not familiar with the particular unit you are considering, but my monitor clips over the rear view mirror. When not in use, the screen is reflective and still acts as a mirror. Works great and solved the problem of where to mount monitor without putting screws in dash.

Don't lnow if this is a potential solution for you.

It's a 3.5m Stacer Alex. I run a 15HP Mercury on it, which is the max it takes. Also use a 40lb thrust Min Kota on the transom beside the outboard for a bit of silent running around the snags and for an occasional troll.

Ray there is an option of a sun visor mounted monitor. You replace the visor with the intergrated monitor and when you want to reverse you just make sure the visor is down.

Looks great too!

Matt.

I have purchased a swan camera and a DES screen. I didn't make sure that the image was reversable on the DSE screen, which it wasn't. Jaycar does make a reversable image screen, which look like it will be me next investment.
