Drerk, i hope you arnt offended that i spoke up....i know the 80 has positive to the globe when low or high is on, and switches negitive, which means following the diagramme would cause spotties to be on at all times the ights were on (unless it was switched off at the relay control switch, which is then not legal)
The diagramme is completely correct, but if you run the control wire to low negitive (instead of how its shown using positive) it will work properly.
Alternately you can splice into high beam negitive and run that wire to terminal 85 on the relay (instead of earth) and get power from ignition not the headlight.
The second option is politically the most correct way.
