I have one, used it on a regular wet cell N70 Marine battery in our boat in conjunction with a trickle charger. The battery lasted 6 years. Unsure if it helped but 6 years out of a regular battery is probably better than average IMHO.

Hi Huckle - In a word - yes it works. Type megapulse in the 'Seach for' box on the top (of this forum), and you will find all the info you are after.
The principal is sound and proven. There are various alternate makes on the market - for instance JAYCAR sell a product - MB3660.
I have both - the original on the 4wd & the Jaycar on the Van.
Some battery chargers now include the feature, so if you are after a charger as well, that may be the way to go.

If you have a HF radio installed be aware that such devices can cause your radio to become useless. They can interfere like crazy.

Hi Huckle, IMHO ther'e a waist of money. I had one for 18 months and cycled it between 3 batteries and it made no difference to any of them. The flashing lights seemed to be doing weird things so I sent it back and they said it was faulty and sent me the new upgraded/ MIII. I have had this for 12 months on a battery that was sulfated and not holding a good charge (would still start the Cruiser though) and it has made no difference at all. I even took voltage readings of the battery at rest before and after fitting the unit and regularly since and it is getting progresivly worse so I have put it in the same bin as Peter Brocks crystaliser, those electronic rust preventers, bleep enlargers and any other gadget designed to suck your dollars out of your pocket.
That's just my opinion though.

Cheers Stuart.
