Hi Tim,
Good news and bad news
First, the good news - improvement in performance was amazing, I had torque from approx 1400rpm, smooth power, no twitchy throttle, and engine felt as though it was running a lot smoother.
Bad news - 45km into the drive
home, the engine stopped. After calling installer at 6pm, who drove to where I was broken down, he had a look and determined I had no fuel.
So organised for tow back to his workshop, he did some investigation and found a main fuse under the bonnet had blown, causing enging to stop. (first time car has ever broken down)
He still has the car, is installing diferrent chip (in case original chip caused the blown fuse), and doing a full diagnostic
check over car to try & understand why this happened.
Maybe it happened because of something else, not sure - but I did blow a fuse about 4 weeks ago which ran the cruise control.
Anyway, getting the car back monday arvo and will hopefully find out what caused the problem.
But I can say, if the performance I had for 45kn is anything to go by, then I will be rapt with the purchase
I will keep you informed
Thanks
TonyG
