I have the Honda eu2.0 and it runs my Heron 2.2 and have no problems.
Here are the specs...

Are you able to run your Honda eu2.0 and Heron 2.2 with the eco throttle switched on?
In my case (with the same setup), unless the generator is running full throttle, the Honda cant "spool" up quick enough to meet the startup power requirement of the Heron 2.2, it goes into overload protection mode.
