We have a Chescold Fridge/Freezer and my wife made an insulated cover for it out of an old sleeping bag. She cut it out to size and sewed it together to fit neatly over our fridge while we are travelling. I don't use mine as a 12 volt system. I only use LPG or 240 volt power.
We use the cover while we are on the road and it works great.

Les you can make an effective cover for almost nothing. suggest you cut up corflute plastic material to fit fridge. this is readily found in old real estate agents signs etc ,just cut to size with knife and attach with masking tape, costs nothing lasts for years and insulates and protects really well

I have a waeco FF30 fridge, two bottom halves of an inch thick large broccoli box and 10 minutes with a stanley knife and it is an awsome fridge bag, the whole set up then fits snugly back into the box the fridge came in. The top half just lifts off for access to the fridge. I reckon my set up which costs about $0.00 leaves the $100 fridge bag for dead.
