TR, vizzie is very familiar with that desert road in NZ. I already told him the scenery here is better than NZ because we don't have those huge rocks in the way of the view :))

hehehe. I lived on the volcanic plateau for 2 years. Hunted, fished, offroaded, climbed Ruapehu, nearly got hit at night by a few Army tanks and APC's - very interesting area.
They grow the best carrots in the world at Ohakune, the fattest wild pigs at Pipiriki, the best brown trout in the Hatepe river near Taihape. However I digress.
