With all the rain around the Diamantina, are the deserts going to be still in bloom this winter?

cheers

Geez I hope not. I'm supposed to be showing a Kiwi the deserts, not a flower show :)))))))))))

(and no I'm not serious. The desert in bloom is a great sight)

If so, just tell them you made a wrong turn at Bedourie and you're now on the Desert
Road north of Waiouru. Explaining the 3 volcanoes might be the difficult bit, just say
they're typical Queensland termite mounds. ..............

TR, vizzie is very familiar with that desert road in NZ. I already told him the scenery here is better than NZ because we don't have those huge rocks in the way of the view :))

hehehe. I lived on the volcanic plateau for 2 years. Hunted, fished, offroaded, climbed Ruapehu, nearly got hit at night by a few Army tanks and APC's - very interesting area.
They grow the best carrots in the world at Ohakune, the fattest wild pigs at Pipiriki, the best brown trout in the Hatepe river near Taihape. However I digress.

Now you sound like my Kiwi friend. If it wasn't discovered, made or bought by a Kiwi then it doesn't count :))
