i thought they looked a great ct, but we were looking for a hard top camper(one that the roof made the floor, as the KANGA has a hard top that the tent folds out of (no hard floor)
if we were looking for a soft top ct i think u would have to go a long way to find BETTER.

We have had one for a couple of years. The chassis is very strong, the whole lot fairly well built. Slower to set up than a hard floor but more room.

I have a couple of friends who have one and they are the goods. Quality workmanship with a sensible design. You can if you wish hire one from them and try it out before you buy. They will also be on display at the Albury Wodonga Caravan,Camping & 4wd show at the Albury showgrounds on the 9,10,11 March. They are made in Wodonga.

Hi Nigel,
We have a 2005 DL fully galvanised with boat rack, & they are truly a solid / functional piece of kit, with independent coil suspension & shocks, 10" electric brakes. The Hylander coupling annoyed me in the beginning but I have got into the swing of it & find it very functional as these CT do have a heavy towball weight ours is around 135KG when loaded.
Our unit doesn't have the 10ft tent but instead the 7ft tent from the ST range, the advantage of this is setup time as more poles are required on the 10ft. Note: these are a rope less setup, pegs are optional, I use only one next to the door zipper.
We are a family of 4 with 2 kids under 3yo & I perform the setup while the better half occupies the little guys, it takes me no kidding from beginning to end of setup, using ground sheet / camper setup / carpet on floor / 2 porta cots & change table / cold beer between 5 to 10min maximum, & if it is raining it makes no difference as once you open the hardtop you jump in thru the door & do the who setup internally & stay dry while the kids are in the car.

The only downside I find, is a 60lt water tank, a 100 would be much more suitable for a family. The hard top is sensational it becomes a roof / side wall over the queen size bed area, & it can be blowing a gale outside & you would not know it

Certainly worth a look at.

Have had a Big Red DL for just over a year. We bought 2nd hand it is 2003 model.

I have to agree with all the replies so for excellent quality, great for towing, heaps of room etc. Some simply things to look out for if you purchase one.

Make sure rear tailgate is shut as tight as possible, mine has leaked when not closed tight. Tent has leaked if water pools on it, make sure all poles are set up so they don't slip down in the wind, it a good idea to check before a storm.

Love mine and think they are one of the best soft floors around.

Cheers
