Hi Greg and Jenni
We are 3months in to our 6 month trip. It has been great, but you have to keep moving. We have not done anywhere near as much
fishing as we planned, but you need to be flexible and accept the compromise. There are still going to be lots of opportunities for
fishing. There is just so much to see -
fishing has had to take a back seat.
For us - we are
young, and it is a great opportunity to see alot of
places, and work out what you like (or not) - we can always come back. It is time out from routine, and time with our kids (8 and 10).
We left from
Perth at the end of December, and have just arrived in
Airlie Beach Qld. From here, we go to Hamilton Isl for a week, then up the
Qld coast to
Cape York (wet permitting). From there, down through Mt Isa to Alice, up through NT, over to
Kimberley and Northern WA and then when around 1500km north of
Perth, we will hook it straight home. Within 1500km of
Perth is easy range for future trips.
Have a great time - we are.
Alan
