What a day we had. First off we went to the wrong place but eventually found out it was on at the ekka grounds not in the city at the exhibition centre. We had a look around and ended up depressed as we didn't have the $150000 dollars required to do a decent shop. But we didn't come out empty handed we left with a 50lt waeco and a coleman hot water system both with transit bags so yes I am a very lucky boy........:)

I was close to buying the 80 watt Projecta solar panel kit..... ($999).... or an new Explorist Colour (Didn't ask $$)..... or a Navman for the work van ($450ish) ....
We went to the Kratzman stand.... made an "appointment" to come back and see a demo on closing and opening the Tvan..... when we got back, they refused, saying..... (are you ready for this??) They "weren't insured for opening/closing trailers!!!!!!!"

Came home empty handed but with wallet still intact.... LOL....

Cheers

Wasn't allowed to go this year.
I am spending mode at the moment, looking at all sorts of things, so the better half said No, it would be too expensive to go.
I think she was right.

Hi Oldplodder.
You can save up for the June 4wd/camping/caravan show.
It is a far better show.

Took the 21yo son, and found they already have a product he thought should be invented. A 3 man tent with inflatable poles. No fibreglass or metal poles - the 'poles' just blows up. Perhaps this would also be good as a shower/toiler tent?
here is the makers site : www.bushranger.com.au

Managed to keep the plastic firmly in the wallet, and only bought a pack of 'hook eze' for $10. The poster said - never tie a fishing knot again!! With my eye sight, this was worth looking at. (did that go through to the keeper?). A small plastic device you just poke the line through - a wedge then locks it in place. Smart. Will test it Easter on the Barra in Awoonga.
Here is their site : www.hookeze.com.au

The other item that looked interesting was the vacuseal - sold by a co at Caboolture in Qld for vavuum sealing food. Italian made and Cost $369. www.vacuseal.com.au

Couldn't find a stand that sold TOYO tyres, or I would probably have signed up for 4 of their Open Country M/Ts. Now that would have excited the plastic.

If they are the same item I got years ago ....... they worked well on many species but have never given them a run of jacks or barra. If memory serves me you must make sure you do as per the instructions. Not sure how they go with braid.

I could not get the video to run so not sure if they are the same, have fun at Awoonga
