Vision Plus Towing Mirrors on Prado

Submitted: Tuesday, Apr 03, 2007 at 08:55

Sacred Cow

Hi,

Yesterday was the first time we used a set of Vision Plus towing mirrors on our new towing vehicle, a Prado. The problem is where the nylon strap hooks into the bottom of the door. It can only fit over the edge of the plastic cover which Toyota have placed over the bottom of the door. Given the way this plastic shroud flexes I doubt that it is strong enough to cope with the loading of the mirrors.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and do you have a solution, please?

Regards
SC

You could try one of these prado specific hangouts.

I don't know if Vision Plus is the same as or similar to Aussie Truck Mirrors. We have ATMs, and there is a (free?, ours was changed over free and the mirrors were about 15 months old) extended clamp which catches onto the metal door undersill and not onto the plastic moulding. Check stockists
If you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much space
