OZI Explorer downloading Treks

Good Morning All

I have a question for all your learned guys on OZI Explorer installed on Laptop,
Have a GPS Mouse connected to up market Lap top by USB with Natmaps Premium 2005 DVD 1-2 as well as Hema Maps. All works great with moving Maps running.

Question 1.Can I get mileage travelled on Moving Map screen ,I get speed ,Elevation & others.

Question 2 . I have problems loading Treks to OZI Explorer,I have download many files from OZI , I have got some to work ,& lost others as I still don't how I got some to work as it was by try & error, Please Help

I know a bit about moving maps so I hope I can assist.
Q1
Ans: When moving map is activated the system creates a plot file called 'mmtrack.plt' in the oziexplorer main folder. This plot file has recorded, amongst other things, the distance travelled between readings. Its a bit time consuming to add up the various distances but it can be done.
There maybe someone on this forum that can provide details of a better way of doing this, as I too would welcome it.

Q2
Ans: Not sure what your problem is but any .plt file can be loaded once a map is active. The .plt _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx a line on the screen showing the course that was travelled. Using track control you can view details of the track as described in 1 above. To do this click on the track that is displayed in the window. The screen track then shows all the points of the track. To show the details of the track click on the show track list button.

I hope that is off assistance.

Q 1 : Open VIEW then TRACKS and then TRACK CONTROL, this should give you the total tarck Distance, or TRACK PROFILE to view the Distance/Time and Elevation
Q 2 : Could be a number of things, need more detail on how you are opening the files.

Well in reference tt your answer Q 2.I download to desk top the drag into the Ozi explore Program ,then I loss my way,sometimes I get it to work other times I loss it in space some where.

Save all your tracks in the Data folder in Ozi, open the files from LOAD then Load track from File. Sometimes I have trouble, it also may be tracks from a different version of Ozi

The Explorer replied:

Hello - There is an add on for OziExplorer that has the feature (distance travelled/trip metre) you are chasing. The program is called is called Travellmate and can be found here...

travelmate.valkron.com/

The program allows the setup and use of 4 Re settable Odometers that feed off the information from OziExplorer/GPS. The program also has many other features.
I have never used it (I use PDA and there is no CE version of travelmate) so I can not provide any advice on use etc.
