The 2.5 is the first diesel offered, so can't go backwards in power. 125kw, 393nm - add a chip for 144kw, 458nm (V8 Toyota unchipped 151kw 430nm) The petrol goes backwards after having just gone forwards. But no-one wants a V6 petrol these days, always too thirsty now.
No electric 4wd select in the top 2 models, as they are said to be permanent 4wd. Probably electric low range select though.
The base model has 16" wheels, so a spare set would be easy, but 17" is now common on Prado, etc. So if Toyota uses it, it must be good.
A leaky sunroof won't matter, because it never rains in AU.
Black leather won't bother me, because it will have sheepskin overlay.
I queried the man about the woodgrain and he was comfortable with how it looked, however he was a car salesman so all of what he said could be crap.
Haven't bought one yet, so can't enjoy.
If the shares keep going like they have it may well be a Touareg by August. They have woodgrain too, and leather.
But I will definately check it out when it gets here.
