Looking for any suggestions of a good, clean, caravan park in Townsille.
Only for 3 nights and close to town would be great.
Thanks in advance for suggestions
Regards Loughma

Walkabout park as Doug says, Good park and cabins + easy to find.
Only trouble is, every where I go they want to put me in a cage.

There is one up towards Bohole - I used to live in a nearby suburb of Mount Louisa. I can't give you any idea of cleanliness but location wise it's on the Northern end of Townsville, somewhat in a predominantly industrial sort of area, the trip into town is only a short drive away. The esplanade is quite nice to walk along. Shopping wise there are a few major shopping centres apart from the city centre, one being Hyde Park and the other is called Stockland, it's the bigger of the two.

A drive up Mount Stewart is well worth it in my opinion and of course the lookout closer to town as well.

I think there are a couple of other caravan parks to look into. I'm sure other travelers on here will be able to give you a better idea than myself.

Rose bay would be the closest to town. Good park just across the road from the beach.

We also stayed at Walkabout palms in September and found it very good. Newish looking / CLEAN amenities though easy to miss when driving past as there is a big servo at the front. If my memory is correct when you stay there you also get a discount on petrol.

Spent a week at Walkabout Palms this time last year. Good clean park with good sized sites. Only a couple of K's from Annandale shopping centre. Easy straightforward run into Townsville CBD.
