Nissan GQ Patrol auto - reverse lights switch

Hello fellow forumites.

I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction

Reverse lights on my GQ do not work although the lights themselves are fine. It may be the switch from the auto transmission but I am not sure where on the box it is located and how to get to it. Is it on the side? top? bottom?

Had a look in the library for a workshop manual but alongside the dozens of falcon and commodore manuals they seem to have missed the Patrol :)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

(Also about to embark on trying to find the cause of the fabled Patrol shimmy/wobble)

Reverse switch on a "GU" is on the top drivers side I know different model but might give you a starting point.Good luck.
