1994 nissan patrol rd28 motor conversion

looking to purchase a 1998 nissan patrol that from factory came with a petrol engine and someone removed and installed a brand new nissan rd28 engine. this engine is used in spain in the patrol and also exported to argentina. i live in uruguay, south america. the reason is our petrol costs twice the amount of diesel. i realize this engine is underpowered for the patrol. i have td42 diesels installed in 2 of my cj jeeps 1980 and they are great engines. at this time i have a great td42 engine in top condition and am thinking about purchasing the patrol and installing the td 42. my questions are the following. witl the td42 bolt up to the petrol bellhousing? also will the rd28 also bolt up to the petrol bellhousing? the patrol has a 5 speed gearbox. does the diesel and petrol from the factory have the same diffs,ratios, etc. will it be a rather easy conversion? thanks for any help.

From what Peter Christie says about his one, is no the bellhousing is different.

Diff ratios are different too, but they are marked on the compliance plate on GQs so they *MAY* be on Gu's..

Can't help with the petrol.Transmissions for RD28T and TD42 were different - diffs the same with different ratio's.
