G'day Rip64, I have just purchased Camps4 Australia wide and in this issue on page 323 are over night camp sights numbers 88, 89, 90, 91. All these surround Borroloola NT, I take it that this is the place you are referring. If this is the case please email me and I'll get the waypoints for you.

I will get a copy of Camps4, it seems to be a bit of necessary glove box luggage. I have stocked up on maps over past 12 months, but camps4 appears to be the icing on the cake.

Don't miss Kingfisher Camp in the Gulf Country.
The turn off is 30km before Doomadgee on the Savannah Way and it's 42 km down to Kingfisher.

Rip64, if you go to Kingfisher, stay a few days. Even without a boat it is a great spot.
Take some Opera House pots and drop them in the water along the edge. Just tie off to the many Paperbark trees along the edge. A bit of part boiled spud as bait and you should get a good feed of Red Claw.

There is a back road from Kingfisher to Lawn Hill Gorge (via Lawn Hill Station) if you have not done that, it is a 'not to be missed' spot. See another thread nearby re Lawn Hill.

Otherwise there is Hell's Gate which is a paid camp ground (around $10 or $12 from memory). OK for an overnight stop.

Outside Borroloola, there is KIig Ash Bay. About 40 KM from Borroloola, but you have to repeat the trip to come out. Nice spot, but if you don't have a boat a long way for an overnight camp. We spent 6 weeks there fishing earlier this year. Will be back for at least 12 weeks next year.

Hells Gate is closed late in 2006 and is no longer operating so don't plan on staying there nowadays. We travelled from Kingfisher to Lawn Hill around to Burketown then through to Borroloola in early March 2007 and found good camps at a couple of the river crossings by looking for wheel tracks either side of these creeks, rivers etc.
We were caretakers at Kingfisher Camp over the last wet season and also created that website, hence the inside info...
I would strongly recommend visiting Adels Grove and Lawn Hill Gorge if you haven't been there before.

There is no fuel at Wologorand either now days as it has been closed for a few years.
The fuel stops are Borroloola, Doomadgee, Burketown or if you go via Kingfisher Camp then Adels Grove near Lawn Hill sells fuel.
